The Waveelite ADP-1 Valve
is a high-grade USB tube preamplifier that is suitable for amplification and
sound optimization of microphones and music instruments due to the usage of
latest analog and digital technology in combination with a superior audio quality.
The ADP-1 Valve can be connected directly to any computer or laptop (Windows,
Mac OS X and Linux) via the on-board USB 2.0 converter. This assures a fast
and easy computer installation with only one cable!
The ADP-1 Valve is equipped with a switchable 48 V phantompower supply
for condenser microphones, a switchable phase reverse and an adjustable tube
saturation circuit. Thus, you can adjust the tube process in order to give your
sound the desired "warmth" and harmonic overtones. Furthermore, the
ADP-1 Valve is equipped with an adjustable 18 - 300 Hz low-cut filter for reducing
subsonic noise, background rumble or bass drum and deep tom sounds. These professional
features are completed by two vocal equalizer presets, a limiter processor,
a MUTE function, an effect loop (insert send & return) and two VU meters
for monitoring the input gain and output level.

03/2010 "The
ADP-1 is surprisingly good equipped for a tube preamp in this price class.
In particular, the vocal EQ, limiter, and tube saturation should leave nothing
to be desired [...]. A preamp without bells and whistles but with a good
sound quality."
